On Wednesday 4th March the pupils enjoyed a very interesting talk about Fairtrade with Patsy Toland . We learned that buying Fairtrade means fair pay for workers , no child labour, equality for women, helps communities and the planet. We are going to write to our local supermarket to enquire about stocking Fairtrade Easter Eggs as part of our Green Schools work on Global Citizenship. It was most interesting and we are going to look out for the Fairtrade symbol when buying tea, coffee, bananas, chocolate and flowers. Thank you Patsy!
